Our Community Patterson Cheney Toyota
Patterson Cheney Toyota is a family business that has been providing sales, service, accessories and parts distribution to Victorians for over 30 years. Patterson Cheney Toyota is highly involved with the local community at Dandenong, Keysborough, Noble Park and surrounding suburbs. Throughout the year the dealership team commit to a number of sponsorship agreements and supporting national and cultural holidays, local concerts, and celebrations.
Patterson Cheney Toyota is now working closely with local clubs to develop stronger relationships to the community. Have a look on our ongoing support below:
Toyota Good for Footy
The Toyota Good for Footy program is an annual event in partnership with Noble Park Football club. It is an opportunity to give back to the local community by providing financial support to local football, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the kids to get up close with AFL stars. We have worked with AFL stars such as former Western Bulldogs Star Liam Picken and St Kilda Captain Jarryn Geary. The event brings massive inflatable rides, rock climbing wall, 9D Truck cinema, DJ, and more. This free event helps us raise funds to Noble Park Football Club.
National Tree Day
Patterson Cheney Toyota is also involved with Toyota Australia’s support for the National Tree Day Campaign. National Tree Day encourages communities to help preserve the environment for future generations. Our team goes above and beyond in the cause, and not only donates uniforms, trees, and all the necessary material, but we also get our hands dirty together with Noble Park Primary School. Schools Tree Day is a great way to teach kids about caring for the environment and creating a greener future.
Patterson Cheney Toyota is proud to support local celebrations such as the local Afghan Community. Together we celebrate their New Years, known as Nawroz. The festival takes place in Dandenong witnessed a great turnout, with massive crowds and plenty of enjoyable and unique festivities! As the major sponsor of the festival we were grateful for the opportunity to give back and show our appreciation to the Afghan community who have been a major friend of Patterson Cheney Toyota for many years. A big thanks to everyone involved!
We are proud to be major sponsors of the yearly Dandenong Show that happens around November.
Are you Ok Day?
At Patterson Cheney Toyota we inspire everyone to meaningfully connect with each other. We support the Are You OK? Day and encourage our team members to start a conversation. We also offer the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to all of our staff members, a service that involves you speaking with an EAP Counsellor who can assist you with personal and workplace relationships, dealing with workplace changes, emotional difficulties, motivation and self-esteem, mental health and more. Your conversation will be 100% private and is free of charge.
Across Patterson Cheney Toyota we come from a range of diverse cultures and backgrounds which all help our company become the diverse, inclusive and accepting place that is today. To celebrate this diversity we organise a Harmony Day Morning Tea and invite our staff and guests to join us.
We are proud sponsors of the Diwali Festival in Dandenong. Diwali is the Indian Festival of Lights. Lamps, fireworks and bonfires illuminates this holiday, as the word ‘Deepawali’ means a row or cluster of lights.
Sri Lankan Sinhala and Tamil New Year
We support the Sri Lankan Sinhala & Tamil New Year in a proud partnership with Sri Lanka German Technical Training Institute Old Boys Association of Australia Inc. We are pleased to host a yearly presentation and sponsor the festival.
Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation Annual Charity Golf Day
Patterson Cheney Toyota was proud to support and be a part of The Chisholm Education Foundation Annual Charity Golf Day that took place at the Commonwealth Golf Club in Oakleigh. Despite a few ominous rain clouds being present early, the sun came out and a fantastic day of golf was had by all. Importantly a significant amount was raised to help fund the great work done by the Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation that will go a long way to help their endeavours to provide education scholarships to those facing difficulties and disadvantages.
In 2014, we donated a RAV vehicle to Camp Quality.
Camp Quality aims to create a better life for children with cancer in Australia, and their Puppet Show school programs carry a valuable message in helping peers understand cancer and most importantly, how to be a good friend. Our support for the organisation with the donation of a RAV vehicle has helped Camp Quality educators continue to reach and inspire Australian children with fun, laughter and positivity.
